Fund Raising for Sandy Lane Riding for the Disabled Group

Over the Years Feathers has been involved in helping to raise funds for many charities, amongst those has been the Foresters Fund for Children. Breast Cancer Research. and NeuroMuscular Centre. We receive requests for help from various charitable organisations, and this year we have decided to support a very local Charity. Sandy Lane Riding Stables which caters for people with disabilities.

Feathers held a fundraising evening which raised £700 for Sandy Lane Equestrian RDA group.

The event was held at Feathers Centre and was well attended. People gave very generously and enjoyed Clairvoyant readings, Aura Photographs, Reiki treatments, Hopi Ear Candles, Colour and Chakra Therapy, Manicures and Eyebrow waxing.
A raffle was also held with fantastic prizes ranging from a huge Amethyst Geode to bottles of wine. The Clairvoyants, Holistic & Beauty Therapists and the Aura team gave their time freely to aid the cause.

The money was raised to help Sandy Lane RDA carry on its fantastic work giving people with disabilities the opportunity to ride and enjoy the activities connected with horse riding in a friendly, fun and safe environment.
Horse and pony riding is an alternative form of physiotherapy for the disabled which is both therapeutic and recreational. For more details on the work they do or to support them please visit their website
