'Feathers'
Feathers was created many years ago, by Jackie and her sister in law Christine, and began its humble beginnings in an upstairs room in Northwich. The desire to have a centre where readings and psychic development classes could take place and a little shop to sell mystical goods was something that they both looked forward to having.
As Jackie had a young family to support and as a one parent family in receipt of benefits, she sought the advice of the local job centre with the aim of becoming self employed. Christine did not opt to become self employed, but wanted to be involved with the business in any way that she could. With this in mind and through the help and support of the job centre, they were put in touch with Paul Parrish, a training consultant who helped and guided them into setting up Feathers Centre.
The first centre was opened on Runcorn Road in Barnton and after about a 12 month period of time Feathers relocated to 161 Witton Street Northwich. In 2005 Jackie and Christine terminated their involvement together in the running of Feathers for personal reasons, although they continued to work together on the tv show Rescue Mediums until 2007.
Feathers was to relocate yet again, still staying on Witton Street, but moving across the road to 132 Witton Street, but now owned by Jackie and Steve Furlong, Feathers was renamed as Feathers Academy. After a five year period and during the latter part of 2013 Feathers was to move once more, back to its spiritual home at 161 Witton Street, where it remains today offering clairvoyant readings, past life regression, aura photography, reiki healing, reiki development and reiki share, hopi ear candles and other forms of holistic therapies. Mystical gifts are available in the shop, showcasing the work of local spiritual, fantasy and fairy artists. Workshops and various classes run throughout the year including clairvoyant and psychic development, reiki attunements, crystal ball, totem animals, angels and fairie and a variety of others.
Over the years Feathers Academy has changed many times and has grown from strength to strength. Many people have come through the doors, and we always welcome those seeking spiritual knowledge. As we tell people over and over again, when our door is open, the kettle is always on.
