Anne Jones

Animal & Bird Reiki Healer

Anne has been giving Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki to animals and birds for over five years, specialising in working with horses. She is a fully insured Reiki Practitioner & Teacher with the UK Reiki Federation.

Anne is also available for Clairvoyant Readings at Feathers on alternate saturdays, and at other times by appointment. She also runs Meditation for Relaxation Classes and Reiki Share classes with Alison Wynne-Ryder and Chris Tilley. Anne is part of Feathers spirit rescue team.

Reiki balances the energy flow throughout the body and helps to improve the well-being and health of the recipient, whether caused by an injury, illness, or stress related.

Anne uses her Psychic awareness while working with her patients, which can help to gain a deeper understanding during treatment.

REIKI TREATMENTS FOR ANIMALS AND BIRDS

Reiki is a gentle, non-intrusive hands-on complementary therapy, which aims to help your animal or bird. It doesn’t cause stress, discomfort, or pain, and yet yields powerful results. Animals respond intuitively to Reiki as it restores balance at physical, mental, and emotional levels, which can help with illness and behavioural problems.

For animals that are healthy, Reiki helps to maintain their health, enhances relaxation and provides an emotional sense of peace and contentment.

For animals that are ill, Reiki assists healing at the deepest levels which should help speed up the recovery time.

For dying animals, Reiki is a gentle way to alleviate anxiety and fear and to ease the transition from this life. Healing can also provide support and comfort for the animal’s owner.
Reiki can be given ‘hands-on‘ (touching) or for nervous or dangerous animals, through the Aura (sending Reiki into the animals personal space). Distant treatments offer the same benefits as ‘hands-on’ Reiki.

REIKI TREATMENT

Before a treatment, I make sure the animal is in a known friendly surrounding with its owner, is not going to have any heavy exercise for 24 hours and water is freely available to drink.

I like to introduce myself to the animal before starting a Reiki treatment and get them to accept me. Some animals are very cautious of a stranger, more so if they are ill or in pain. It allows a trust to build up between the animal and myself and having built that trust, Reiki when offered will be accepted more readily. A treatment can last from 20 minutes to over an hour; depending on how much Reiki that animal wants to take. I can channel the Reiki to the animal, but it is up to them to take it.

The reactions you might see in an animal during a treatment:

Becomes sleepy, eyes close, head droops
Nostrils and whiskers quiver
The mouth sags, tension eases
Ears twitch and the animal looks around at its body
Deep sighs and yawning
The back drops and becomes relaxed

What the animal may feel during treatment:

Tingling throughout the body
Great tiredness
Heaviness in the limbs
Unusual pulses in parts of the body
Heat in the body
Increased or decreased breathing rate
Intermittent temperature changes

Horse receiving Reiki

A bird will feel the same as an animal during treatment but tends to fall asleep and will stretch and move away when has taken enough Reiki.

If you would like further information or to book a treatment for yourself or your animals, please do not hesitate to contact me, Anne Jones, through Feathers or on mobile No.07796 410681

The Veterinary Surgery Act of 1966 prohibits anyone, other that a qualified veterinary surgeon from treating animals, including diagnosis of ailments and giving advice on such diagnosis. However the healing of animals by contact healing, by the laying of hands or distant healing is legal. The Protection of Animals Act 1911 requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a veterinary surgeon the owner must obtain this. To give emergency First Aid to animals for the purpose of saving life or relieving pain is permissible under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 Schedule 3 (taken from the UK Reiki Federation Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice – March 2002).

Anne's aura pictures taken at Feathers. Annes natural aura is a lovely yellow/gold colour. We asked her to think of reiki and to fill the room full of reiki healing. This wonderful green is the healing that she is sending out.
